GSAL Staff Profile

The new regulatory requirements for schools require a statement, published to parents, of the staffing profile of the school. GSAL has 229 teaching staff (some of whom are part-time) and 177 support staff (some of whom are part time). The teaching staff are highly qualified, all either have a recognised teaching qualification or are working towards one.

Senior school teachers have a good degree in their specialist subject, and a minority have postgraduate and research degrees (Masters and/or Doctorates) in related subjects. Junior School has specialist teachers in music, modern foreign languages, physical education, learning support, and science.

Rose Court has a specialist music teacher. Support staff are well qualified for the roles they perform. The school has a robust and well funded system of continuing professional development for all staff.
